Airfield Characteristics

The airfield is a class A facility, as listed in the Public Register of Civil Airfields of Russia, and holds certificate of official registration and readiness for operation No. 60, confirming that the Airport is prepared to handle international flights.

Pulkovo Airport has two separate, parallel paved runways; a system of high-speed, connective and auxiliary taxiways; and meets the required Class 8 level of fire protection.

Takeoff and landing operations at Pulkovo Airport can be carried out regardless of weather conditions.

In 2013, the maximum quantity of takeoff and landing operations per hour, almost 50, was recorded during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The average quantity during the year is about 30 takeoff and landing operations per hour.

The MAK No. 031 A-M Certificate determines the limitations of aircraft types to be serviced by the Airport.
